During his world tour, ahead of his highly anticipated gigs in both of the main Kazakhstani cities, singer Enrique Iglesias has already won the hearts of local people by uttering one of the most revered phrases spoken by patriots of our country.
Alga Kazakhstan!
Although the literal English translation, Forward Kazakhstan, doesn’t do it justice, Enrique using these words while backstage at one of his Polish concerts, has touched those who will go to see him perform in Astana or Almaty (and those who won’t), as the words Alga Kazakhstan have become synonymous with the country and the success it increasingly has in sport, music, art, and many other areas.
The Spanish singer, son of the famous Julio, is currently selling out enormous venues around the world, and September 3 & 5 this year will see him repeat the feat in Astana and Almaty, respectively, perhaps with a bucket list that includes a trip to a shop to get hold of some more local confectionery.

The famous Kazakhstan Chocolate, often taken abroad by locals (and back home by tourists), is a popular gift, and Enrique was presented with a bar in Gdansk, to his surprise and delight, before holding aloft the country’s flag with an influencer called Yevhenii Az.
September will be the first time that the 100+ million selling singer and philanthropist visits Kazakhstan, with fans hoping to hear him perform some of his classic hits, such as Bailando, Hero, Escape, Tonight, Subeme La Radio, and others. They can be sure of a few surprises, too, not to mention the emotional bond he is said to form with the audience.
Tickets are now available on the Freedom SuperApp and Ticketon.kz
