No Kazakh Spark for Celestini: Dastan Satpayev Set to Miss More of the Season After Training Ground Setback

Despite the fresh start Burnley FC has made this week by appointing new manager, Fabio Celestini, Kazakh football fans are less excited about the fixtures for the Clarets over the coming weeks. Rumours are circulating that Dastan Satpayev is injured once again and will be sidelined for a month or more.

An injury led to Satpayev being substituted during a match against rivals Middlesbrough, upon which he was taken back to Chelsea for treatment.

Successful intervention by the physio saw the Kazakh forward return to Burnley but with strict limitations placed on his match time by his parent club, who have the right to impose rules about treatment and recuperation.

Late October saw the 18-year-old begin to start matches and despite his team struggling, Satpayev was able to show his class as he was tentatively allowed back into the thick of Championship action.

A recent training session led to another injury, or perhaps, as the news is not officially confirmed, an aggrevation of his previous strain, and it is said that he will be out of action again for a month or more, also meaning that he will miss Kazakhstan’s upcoming international matches.

Burnley fans are said to be troubled by the news, but also by the appointment of Fabio Celestini, with some of them claiming that the club has ‘lost its way’ in recent years. While time will tell concerning the new appointment, sadly, Dastan Satpayev seems unavailable to assist his new boss until mid-December.
