Kanye West in Almaty: Important Ticket News

About half of the tickets for the concert of American rapper YE (Kanye West), which will be held on August 14 in Almaty, were sold on the first day of the exclusive pre-sale through Freedom SuperApp.

This was announced by Freedom Ticketon following the results of the first day of sales.

According to the company, interest in the concert was higher than expected. Thousands of users were in the application at the same time in the first minutes of the pre-sale at 12 a.m., and the most affordable ticket categories were immediately sold out.

“In order to protect against the mass purchase of tickets by resellers, the organiser set a limit of no more than 4 tickets in one hand to go to the event with family or a group of friends. This is a conscious decision: the concert should be accessible to the maximum number of real fans, and not become an object of speculation,” the organisers noted.

The company also commented on user complaints about the electronic queue. Freedom Ticketon emphasised that the waiting room was not related to technical problems, but was used as a standard load-balancing mechanism. The system allows users to proceed to the purchase in turn, maintaining the order of access and ensuring stable operation of the platform with a large number of simultaneous connections.

The company explained that similar systems are used by the world’s largest ticket services, including Ticketmaster, AXS, See Tickets and Eventim. In this case, the ticket is awarded to the user who completes the payment for the selected seats first.

Customers who have successfully placed an order have already received vouchers by email. The ticket itself, with a unique QR code for admission to the concert, will be sent on 13 August, 24 hours before the start of the event.

In addition, Freedom Ticketon has announced the launch of the official Fan2Fan secure ticket resale service, which will launch on July 22 on the platform Ticketon.kz. When resold through the service, the previous voucher is automatically cancelled, and a new one is issued to the new owner. This guarantees the authenticity of the ticket and eliminates the risk of its reuse. The company stressed that there are no such guarantees when transferring vouchers outside the platform.

The main ticket sales started on Ticketon.kz on July 22 at 12:00, one day earlier than the originally scheduled date. This decision, as noted by the company, was made after high demand on the first day of pre-sales. The remaining ticket categories will be available to everyone, including users with international bank cards.
