British actor Paul Anderson, best known for playing Arthur Shelby in the TV series Peaky Blinders, will become the fourth international headliner of Comic Con Astana 2026, organisers have announced.
The annual pop culture festival will take place in Astana from August 6 to 9 at Barys Arena and Alau Ice Palace.
During the event, Anderson will perform on the festival’s main stage, where he will talk about his acting career, his work on famous film projects, and answer questions from the audience. Fans will also be able to take part in photo and autograph sessions with the actor.
Paul Anderson rose to international fame for his role as Arthur Shelby, one of the central characters in the British TV series Peaky Blinders. He has also appeared in the films Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Legend, The Revenant, In the Heart of the Sea, and Nightmare Alley.

With Anderson’s announcement, Comic Con Astana 2026 will bring together four international headliners at once for the first time. Earlier, the organisers announced the participation of Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, known for portraying Jaime Lannister in the TV series Game of Thrones, as well as actors Inaki Godoy and Taz Skylar, who played Monkey D. Luffy and Sanji in the Netflix series One Piece.
The festival will also host a lineup of special guests, including cosplay duo Kamui Cosplay, professional cosplayer and judge of international festivals Leon Chiro, Comic Con Astana 2025 Grand Prix winner Grafomanka, K-pop choreographer Jay Kim, popular bloggers and content creators Dania Craster, Jane Kravitz, Karrambaby, Dobryak, Dalbek, FixEye, Egor Shkred and Nowkie, as well as Italian artist Paolo Pantalena, who collaborated with Marvel, DC, Image Comics and other publishers.
Visitors can expect an international cosplay competition with a prize pool of 20 million tenge, an exhibition area, presentations, photo and autograph sessions, video game and tabletop gaming tournaments, live performances by invited artists, and themed venues for fans of film, comics, anime and modern pop culture.
